Dr. Hoover believes dentistry is where science and art harmonize, and she enjoys the combination of proper oral health and the aesthetically focused outcomes she helps her patients achieve. Most of all, she loves getting to know her patients, listening carefully to their needs, and caring for their dental health throughout every stage of life.

Dr. Hoover has participated in outreach programs, like Virginia Dental Association’s “Mission of Mercy” projects and the American Dental Association’s “Give Kids a Smile Day.” Outreach programs have always held a special place in her heart, as it has given her the opportunity to provide free dental care to underserved communities.
Dr. Hoover enjoys being active in many local and national dental organizations, including:

In her free time, Dr. Hoover enjoys traveling, exercising, cooking, and being a mom to two avid soccer players. Dr. Hoover is married to Dr. Jared Hoover, a fellow dentist at Midlothian Dental Center. On the weekend when they are not at their kids’ soccer games, you’ll find them enjoying Richmond’s foodie scene at favorite spots like Stellas and L’Opossum.

Dr. Amanda Hoover is a dentist at our Midlothian Dental Center, Hull Street location. Dr. Amanda earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Virginia Tech and continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Katherine S. Louscher is a dentist at Midlothian Dental Center, Hull Street. She specializes in restorative, preventative and diagnostic dental care as well as treatment development and procedural examinations. Dr. Louscher earned her bachelor’s and master’s at the University of Arkansas and continued her higher education at the University of Iowa, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Amanda Hoover is the sweetest most caring person I have ever been around. She always has such a beautiful smile and makes you feel so greeted when you come see her. She has the biggest heart of anyone I’ve known and always wants to do the best for her Patients. She has always taken such great time with me and really helped educate me on certain things to help me take care of my teeth. I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone she truly is the most loving doctor I’ve ever met and loves helping people fill their best when she sees them.
Dr. Hoover is one of the most compassionate and comprehensive dentists my family has ever trusted. She has a way with children and knows how to make them feel comfortable whether it’s a check up or for something more complex. She treated my husband, who has a catastrophic TBI, with patience and gentleness…never worrying about how much time it would take. She is an advocate for the patient and works to benefit those she serves. Overall, she is outstanding!
I can not say enough great things about Dr. Hoover. She has been seeing my son for several years now and I can honestly say she treats him like her own. He has required extensive dental care and she was very open and honest with her recommendation for treatment. We had several complications and she was always there to ensure he got the best treatment. She went as far as to come in on her vacation; driving close to an hour (with her daughter in tow) to ensure she provided his final procedure. She is caring and very professional, you will not find a better dentist.
This is a great place for your dental needs. The entire staff is very friendly, personable, and competent. They will listen to you and your needs and explain everything completely. I like the "feel" of a family dentistry where you get to know them and they get to know you. I have been a customer of Dr. Hoover for many years and am delighted with the service I receive.
We Love Dr. Hoover! She is gentle and takes her time explaining options and making sure you have the best care! Dr. Hoover is great with my three girls and is always so kind. We cannot say enough good things about her! We are customers for life!
